Shalya Tantra  is one of the 8 Prime branches of Ayurved, Which deals with surgical & Para surgical treatment.

Recent Branch of surgery is based on the basic principles mentioned in the Ancient Ayurvedic text 

“Sushruta Samhita” which is 600 BC old

 

 

 Aims & Objective

  • To provide surgical & Parasurgical treatment for various diseases along with conservative management  to avoid unnecessary surgical interventions.
  •  To propagate Ancient Surgical Procedures like Ksharsutra, Agnikarm, Leech therapy etc. among the society.
  •  To train the students in ancient as well as modern surgical procedures. Also train them in routine ward procedures & to handle certain emergencies like Accident, Burns etc.
  •  To develop students interest in research activity.
