Department of Kayachikitsa was established in Sept 2007 in the college to improve the the various Classical Ayurvedic therapeutic procedures for various chronic disorders, life style disorders like obesity hypertension, Dyslipidemia, Arthritis.

Currently   Department has 1 professor . 2 readers & 3 lectures with PG degree and have very good Academic profile.All Are Competent Enough In The Job.This year we have 94 students in the TYBAMS class in which there are 47 Male & 47 Females. Most of them are from middle class & Upper middle class families from various states of India. The selection of the students is through common entrance test conducted by Dr.D.Y.Patil University. The medium of teaching is English & the students have very good command on the language. The students are highly efficient in academic as well as extra curricular activities.

The Syllabus Of The Course Is Prepared As Per C.C.I.M Guidelines.The Latest Revision Of Syllabus Was Done In September 2008. Teaching Methods In Practice Other Than Lecture Method is OHP, LCD Projection, Panchakarma Procedure Demonstration. The Department Is Fully Equiped With Learning Resources Like Library, Computers and latest diagnostic Aids. Personal Attention And Counselling Of Students Related To Genuine Problems With Studies, Health is given by the staff. Faculty Development Programme Like Rotp,Cme, Workshop, Seminars And Clinical Meetings Are Attended.

Ongoing Research project of Department- Department is doing a Research project on “Rheematid arthritis- Efficacy of A4 Tablet” which is partially  funded by our University & applied for further fund from “AYUSH” 

Departmental library consist of 26 books as per subject need.

Department has attended total 6 National /  International seminar within 5 years.
