Prakrutita-vikrutitashach ashtisandhi sahita strī sroni( Normal & abnormal conditions of pelvic bones and articulation)-

Āartavvaha and Stanyavaha srotas, Triāvarta yoni (external and internal genitalia, Breast, Vulva, pudendum etc.) Rakta Lasaikā Nādī sanvhanam (Blood Lymphatic and Nerve  supply of these organs.

Raja shabdasya vyakhya ,Paryay (Description of the term Raja and its synonyms).

Prathamrajodarshan pūrvasharīre parivartanani (Changes before Menarche).

Antasravi granthibhi niyaman cha (Endocrinal regulation of menstruation),

 Rajakāla (menstrual phase) – Ŗitukāla (proliferative phase)- Ŗituvyatitkāla(secretory phase) – Ŗituchakra (menstrual cycle) and their regulation by endocrine glands.

B.     Garbha  Sahayaka Avyava :

Aprā (Placenta) –aprā nirmiti & vikruti (formation and abnormalities of placenta). Nabhinādī (Umbilical cord) – prakruti and vikrutishch ( Normal and abnormal condition).

Garbhodaka nirmiti (Formation of Amniotic fluid) –swarūp(character), parikshan(examination) and vikārashch (anomalies) –Ati-Heen Garbhodaka (excess liquor amni – Hydraminos, deficient liquor amni –   oligoaminos),

Garbhāchchādana (Fetal membranes), Ulba.

Garbhinīvijynan:

A. Lakshanās of Sadhyogrihīta garbhā, Garbhinī nidāna, Punsavana Vidhi, lakshanās of   

Vyaktagarbhā. Garbhinī Paricharayā (Ante Natal Care), Māsānumāsika Paricharyā, Garbha vighātakara bhāva   (harmful factors for garbha), Dauhridya and result of its obeying and disobeying.

B. Management of Garbhinī (Pregnant Women): -Weight, Pulse, Blood pressure, Urine-Bowel-Blood test, health examination direction,   purpose, information about daily   

diet and exercise etc

C. Garbha Vyāpada (Disorders of Foetus):- Garbhasrāva (Abortion), Garbhapāta, Mithyāgarbha, Upvishtaka, Upshushaka, Garbhāshayantargatmrutgarbha (Intrauterine fetal death) garbha  shosha, Garbha heena Vriddhi (Growth retarded  fetus).

Garbhinya Alpabal Vyādhaya (Minor aliments of pregnancy) –

Hrillāsa (Nausea) ,Chardi (Vomiting) Aruchi (Anorexia), Atisāra (Diarrhea),  Vibandha (Constipation ),Udāvarta ,Padashotha, Parikartikā ,Vaivarnya (Discoloration ), Pārshva graha (Rigidity in flanks ), Mukha pāka (stomatitis ),Swāsha Krichhatā (Dysponea),Kāsa   ( Cough),Hikkā (Hiccup ) Mūtra Graha (Retention of urine) ,Kikkisa etc.

Prasava Vijyana (science of labour):

Prākrita Prasava (Normal labour)- Aparā pātan (Expulsion of placenta in normal labour), Jatmātra Navajāta Shishu Paricharyā (neonatal care), Garbha stithi –Prakrita Āsana (normal lie), Udaya (presentation), presenting part and position. Natural expulsion of fetus, time period of normal labour -its causes , Sūtikāgāra ,Entrance in Sūtikāgāra ,Prajāyanī, Asanna –Prasavā, Upasthita prasavā (Stages of labour). Origin of Āvī (uterine contraction) their clinical features and examination.

 Prasav vyapad(Disorders of labour):

Akālprasava (Preterm labour ),Kālātīta prasava (post term labour),Garbhasanga, Vilambita prasava ,Yoni samvarana (cervical dystocia),Garbhavsāda (Foetal inertia ), Mūdhagarbha-paribhāshā (Definition), causes and samprāpti (etiopathology),lakshan clinical features, bheda( types), sādhyāsādhytā (prognosis) ,Chikitsā (treatment) –Aushadha, Mantra , Shastra chikitsā. Mūdhgarbha Nirharan -Purva –Pradhānshalya karma and Paschāt karma. Aparāsangha (Retention of placenta) - its Hetu (causes), lakshan(clinical features) and chikitsā ( treatment), Prasavottar raktasrāva (post partum haemorrhage -PPH) etc.

Sūtikā Vijyana –Sūtikā Paribhāshā, Sūtikā kāla , Sūtikā paricharyā.

Sūtikā Roga – Number, causes clinical features, prognosis and treatment.

Rakta Vidradhi- Sūtikamakkla- its hetu(causes), lakshan (clinical features), upadrava (complications) and chikitsā (treatment).

Stana-Stanya Vijyana – Stanasamapata, Stanyasampata,  Stanasya Nirmitsrāva,

Features of Shudha Stanya and its examination. Stanya dushti- Stanyakshya, Stanyavridhi -their hetu(causes), lakshan (clinical features), and chikitsā (treatment). 

Under Parivār Kalyāna safe Maternal & child health care-

 Family planning- its importance, necessity and methods, consultations, drugs,

 Mechanical and Surgical contraception.

 

Second Paper

Strī Jananangasya janmajāt vikāra  (Congenital deformities of female genitalia), Anārtava(Amenorrhoea), Alpārtava (hypomenorrhoea) ,Kashtārtava (dysmenorrhoea) , Asrigadara(menorrhagia & DUB) , Rajodushti ,Shwetapradara (Leucorrhoea), Stri Jananangabhransha ( Prolapse of female genitalia with infection),Janananga vidradhi, Granthi (cyst), Arbuda (Tumors), Vandhyatva(Infertility)- hetu(causes),lakshan( clinical features), sādhyāsādhytā (prognosis), nidān (diagnosis), upadrava( complication) and chikitsā (treatment) of all the disease. Vinshati Yonivyapada (20 gynaecological disorders).

Stanya granthi (cyst), Vidradhi, Arbuda (tumor), Stanakilaka –

hetu(causes), lakshan( clinical features), sādhyāsādhytā (prognosis),nidān (diagnosis), upadrava( complication) and chikitsā (treatment).

Stanik Chikitsā-

Snehan – Swedan – Basti –Uttarbasti- Pichu- Varti –Lepa- Dhūpan- Dhāvan- Dahana etc. Practical knowledge of all these procedures along with the diseases in which these are used along with Pūrva- Pradhān and Paschāta karma.

Shalya karma procedures used in-

Gabhapātana (induction of abortion ) Mūlādhāra Chhedhana ( episiotomy), Expulsion of mūdhgarbha by udarapātana ( caesarean section ), Suturing  of Garbhāshaya Greevā         (cervix), yoni ( vagina ),Mūlādhāra ( perineal ) tear during labour. Kritrima prasava preranā (induction of labour).

Dilatation & cauterization of Garbhāshaya mukha (cervix), Garbhāshaya chedana, Yonichedana, Garbhāshaya –Yoni- bhramsha (prolapse of uterus and cervix) and  their reposition. Expulsion of Arsha (polyp) and Dahan (cauterization), nirharan (expulsion) of Granthi (cyst) & Arbuda (tumor) of genital organs.

Knowledge of Shalya Karma prayojya Vyādhiyanā – surgical procedures, Pūrva karma, Pradhāna karma, Paschāt Karma. Complications of surgery, their features and their management

 

Methods of Parivāra Niyojana (family planning)-Pūrva, Pradhāna   and Paschāta 

karma and surgical procedures

 

 

Chikitsālāyi Karmābhyāsa – Practical

 

1.  Three months clinical experience in Strirog and Prasūtitantra Department and  maintenance of clinical records.

2. Demonstration of delivery – practical knowledge of at least 10 Labour/ deliveries.

3. History taking of 10 patients related to Gynaec problems.

4. Knowledge of contraceptives and methods of contraception.

5.  Demonstration of obstetric instruments.

6.  Demonstration of female models indicating various body parts.
